Exactly. The biggest reason I side with Malle is because the people of Lumiere are clearly living thinking people in their own right, and I think everyone in the canvas deserves the chance to live a life without fear of the gommage that's plagued them for generations.

The fact I also hate Verso for being a manipulative, self-pitying, backstabber doesn't have much to do with that decision.
