Chapter 3 has pretty much the same area. It was implied to be some area under the couch, with dust and stuff, so it's something similar as well, maybe an area behind shelves or something.
Better question is, where are all the supply closet darkners anyway? Did they removed all the stuff from the closet before opening a fountain? Was Toriel on it?
