The whole shenanigans with the deldar was an annoyance due to the profits it cost, not because my character gave a fuck about the humans the deldar were abducting and torturing. Getting captured into the dark city, again, was at first a great fucking annoyance because I had none of my luxuries, but quickly turned into an opportunity once it became apparent that I might be able to escape, and loot the shit out of the xenotech all around me.
Encountering Marazhai again, after his failed scheming, was a moment of bitter irony, where I could have my vengance on him, not by just crudely killing him on the spot, but by essentially reducing him into just one of the many violent goons at my disposal, this former arrogant and smug eldar aristocrat, now has to serve me in order to survive. What better vengeance could there be, than making him into just another exotic pet in my retinue?
