It is literally natural and a prime directive of anyone over the age of 10 to want to be as adult as possible and want to stop being treated like a kid. That is why we all spent time playing gore filled FPS games and jacking off to anime shit and taking any opportunity to have sex with people at school around that age.
A parents and society's only job in this context should be to make sure that young people don't get taken advantage of during this sensitive period where they latch to any attempt to evolve by assholes looking to ruin their lives.

And this extends to shit like this. As long as it doesn't reach "heyyy can you give me your address so we can meet up without your parents knowing?" stage, I don't care for it and it is not an issue.
The kids who are helicopter parented and forec to keep their innocence are always the ones that end up as broken dysfunctional adults that cannot comprehend a single thing about their life. All the kids I knew with overprotective parents turned into garbage wastes of oxygen that can't work or find a relationship because they were gimped out of understanding how society works.
