To me it’s like Danganronpa. It has its story and then it ends and there’s only so much to it. HL has so much fucking to it along with having alternate timelines as possibilities people are able to have fun with alternate possibilities/some people may still be catching up because the games massive.
Also dunno if I’m in the minority here or what but I never talked about Danganronpa online but still consider myself a pretty big fan. Only ever talked about it with irl friends when after discovering it in high school we played the English patch on our psps/lended our psps to others and when 2 finally got localized in senior year of high school lended our Vitas to other friends to be able to talk about it. Took me awhile to get to V3 because I didn’t care about a sequel and didn’t like the look of it but was pretty happy with how it ended. Still have not watched the 3 anime but have heard of the bullshit.
