I have a vision of rebels being incredibly fun in one specific scenario
>maps are always similar, a big fortress to take and you have to land in one specific area and work your way through it
>land in e.g. southern center edge
>half the map is just rows and rows of trenches, MG nests, mortars, snipers, enemy eagles
>big ass wall with 1 to 3 entrances to a massive fortress
>inside are tanks, mechs, more MG nests, this time with tight cover and angles to maneuver
>final objective is like a command bunker on steroids
I think I just want something like Firebase Georgina from Rising Storm 2 or some maps from Eternal Crusade, a big fuckoff fortress that's designed to be a bitch to take, with layers of defense and environs with different gameplay as you're pushing into it - early on range, accuracy and ergonomics will carry but later you'll need AP and fast TTK weapons. I'd like rebels to be like less armored automatons and less ragdolly but more killy and very numerous. Instead of stratagem jammers and gunship facilities there'd be side objectives to clear ATC towers (disable enemy eagles), blow up fuel/ammunition stashes, maybe mech fabs if it's not too similar to automatons.
