Tell me /g/, is it better to use your laptop without charger and let it rest when connected or straight up connect it and using it after being low?

We started talking with my father about this issue and that sometimes manufacturers don't put care recommendations in their manuals.

I have an HP laptop with a Long-Life 3-Cell 41Wh Lithium-Ion battery that came with a Smart 45W External AC Power Adapter.

The device don't stays charged for so long but I use it always at full potential. i3 coding and browser only use.
