Yay. I'm inclined not to believe this CM, at least about the event being XP only. Maybe it's just a smokescreen to keep people from getting 'hyped' about the new helmet, though I don't know why it would be.
Considering all the stuff that recently surfaced here about that cosmetics system I guess they might intentionally hold back on new gear.
