Even SAM, whose headpieces are hit or miss, still has them try to change things up with stuff like masks
PLD is just coronet spam but the coronets aren't any good. It's like they blow the set's entire art budget on the armor itself.
I suppose that would be a good trade for people who never show helm anyway, but having something to actually consider using would be nice.
