"Lord" was for creature types. Lord of Atlantis, for example, was initially printed with creature type "Lord of Atlantis" and later shortened to "Lord" - which became a term used by players, and then adopted by WOTC. 8E introduced the "human" creature type as part of a push to sort everything into "race/class" combos a-la D&D. Time Spiral printing has "Merfolk Lord" in the type line, and switches the text from "all your merfolk get +1/+1" to "OTHER merfolk" instead. Later printings drop "lord" altogether. "Lord enchantment" would be something like pic - pumps a creature type but not itself.

Crusade and Bad Moon were originally part of the whole "white versus black" color shtick in early sets. Red only got half of that at double the cost in Orcish Oriflamme - which seems to have been "corrected" with Modern Horizons GOBLIN Oriflamme. Blue got a full +1/+1 with The Dark's Sunken City, but had to pay upkeep for it. Green got the short end of the stick, probably because it was seen as the "big creature" color rather than the "weenie" one back then (and already had Giant Growth).

Funnily enough, some people thought that Glorious Anthem was actually an unacceptable power creep. Unlike Crusade & Co, Glorious Anthem is asymmetric, and has no "shut-off" clause like Angelic Voices. It was yet another Saga block "fix" that was taking things too far, yet by the time of Planar Chaos it even got color-shifted into green (Gaea's Anthem).
