The Fatherland Front in Prussia has fallen, and the Junkers have seized power, promising an end to Russian autonomy. Konigsberg has erupted in cheers as Prussia sees itself a free nation for the first time in years. The despotic/neo-imperialist majority in Prussia have great ambitions for the future of the small nation. It is unclear how Russia will react to the news.
In 1866, the Austrian Empire launched its final War of Consolidation against the Kingdom of Prussia, which had refused to join Austria's Germanic ambitions. Unbeknownst to Prussia, Austria and Russia had signed a secret treaty; when Austria invaded, so did Russia. Prussia stood no chance, and the combined Austro-Russian forces soundly defeated them. Since then, most of Prussia's territories, including Brandenburg, has been incorporated in the United Kingdoms of Germany, whilst Prussia remained a rump-state belonging to Russian aristocrats, used and exploited.

Now a resurgent Prussia looks both to the west, east, and south. Enemies face the fledging militaristic nation on all sides. It also faces internal dissent, with ethnic tensions between the Prussian majority and the Polish-Lithuanian minority. It remains to be seen how Prussia will face its challenges in the years to come, and whether she will become a friend of foe of Imperial Britain. Offices in London have had a lukewarm reception to the news, not wishing to inflame tensions with Germany, for now Whitehall watches with a wary eye.
