The best way to play RimWorld is to try it out vanilla, get annoyed with dying a few times and then spend more time modding it than playing only to end up playing a committed ice-sheet Wild Men (from Tribals Expanded) Randy losing is fun and with no cannibalism if you're looking for a challenge.
