Midway needed a new type of finisher and thought of animalities. Problem is that clay models are time consuming to create and animate (can also fall apart like the Goro model did), so added a shitty filter over the models to hide the imperfections and speed up development time. Also doesn't help that the finisher sound is slapstick to fuck.

I really dislike MK3 as the quality of the series took a massive nosedive with this entry. At least with MK9 even with its major flaws brought the tone of this story in line with the previous two.
