4 - Tropius
>TWO GRASS TYPES
Tropius was also only there temporarily for the egg breeding. In gen 6, Tropius + Roselia (with Rose Incense) = Budew with the egg move Synthesis.
Tropius may or may not be May's usual Fly Pokemon, but he's what she's using at that moment right before Kyogre happens. Tropius is also holding the Big Root, which was used to power his Giga Drain. I don't know why he has both Synthesis and Giga Drain in his moveset.
Bonus tragedy: Tropius was just traded/lent to May by someone she likes cough Brendan for the purpose of breeding Tropius/Roselia (who like each other). The later disasters separating Roselia from Tropius also separate May from her love interest. And not only does Tropius/Roselia's egg die, May herself will never have children.

5 - Walrein
May's Surfmon. Could represent May's stubbornness maybe, like "sinking your teeth in" and not letting go (just making dumb shit up at this point). But since it's freezing cold at the bottom of the ocean, Walrein's Thick Fat/Ice Body abilities could be relevant somehow, especially since Ice Body heals HP.

6 - Egg
An unhatched Budew with the move Synthesis. Synthesis restores HP and is most effective in strong sunlight. Which is ironic because the bottom of the sea is just pitch black darkness, so the move would've been useless to May anyway, even if the Budew egg did survive and hatch. Represents May's hopes and dreams now being impossible or something.

Other options: Whiscash (associated with earthquakes) or Absol (associated with disasters), they just have potential but I can't think of anything right now.

Imagine the creepypasta true ending where, as if getting trapped under the sea isn't bad enough, May's also surrounded by rapist Finizens who she can't even escape from.
