Compared to the Afterlife, your life on earth is just a blink of an eye. But even if it's really short, our Lord assigned us a goal to achieve. The goal is to become holy. Not to be rich, famous or healthy, but to be holy. All the negative things that happen to us or to humanity as a whole serve this goal.
