nta but to comment on this, you are absolutely right. LC puzzles dont test for anything realistic. It's basically saying

Something most of these autists suck at. Yes, they suck, already had the conversation with both big tech and non tech workers. The problem also is that all these business jocks don't understand technology. They never did. To them, it might as well be blue collar work, so they think they can do the same thing with say a janitor or secretary, and just outsource it for cheaper revenues. but now they're realizing that's a shit strategy, but because of the economy, they rather keep the ship sinking to keep their own profits up instead of dealing with the productivity issue in the engineering department.

Unfortunately, I think this time there will be no cycle of things returning to norm. It feels like mad Max world where they really rather keep this as a business structure. They simply hate paying software engineers real wages anymore.
