So do you think humans and other animals should have the free will to choose if they consume ethanol, or not? If you don't want to drink I have no desire to change your behavior, it's your free choice to make. But if I would like to drink because I enjoy the effects, get the impression you would like to control my actions so that is not a choice I can make. Am I wrong on that?
If so, what is your opinion of non-human animals that consume ethanol or other things for their psychoactive effects?
