There are multiple aspects to it
>WotC historically only printing MLD that's immediately the nuclear option of haha all lands gone
>Many players getting pissy about it or the game "slowing down to a crawl" despite draw pass not taking any time if people were to actually pay attention
>WotC paying those players too much attention.
Like there's barely any effect like Urza's Sylex that slow down green's ramp without going full winter orb or armageddon.
