Its not the look, its the attitude that makes him not sensei. Problem Solver sensei still looks mid twenties, but one look at him and you can tell he's seen some shit. He always feels like an adult, without a word he offers the girls a meal, handles their problems, he supports them like its a basic thing to do like a proper sensei. He breaks PS from prison without a word, saves them from Hina, he's an adult you can always rely on. Anime sensei feels too much like a child; "eto...sono....ahaha", constantly stuttering and acting weak, acts like a child instead of an adult, girls never rely on him, they barely even recognize him as anything, he doesn't support them, he just feels like he's present for situations. At the end of the anime they take a photo of everyone, he's not even there, you can tell the director didn't want to include sensei in any scene.
