Is it me or does LotR lack strong story points?
Entire trilogy can be summed with basically this:
>there is a magical ring holding soul of the main villain
>couple of midgets go to a volcano to destroy it
>some stuff happens in the background
Anything more detailed than above and you'd already be getting into trivia only fantasy nerds care about...
