Doesn't happen in Sumerian Myths, Gilgamesh is clearly alive after royally pissing off Inanna. Destruction of the soul happens in Egyptian mythology, and it is safe to say that Inanna isn't associated with crocodiles, or jackals for that matter. Also, she doesn't even have purview over the dead soul, that rests solely with her sister Ereshkigal, and she made that very clear.
