Epstein and Trump were already self-declared friends, Trump already totally shut down releasing Epstein files during his candidacy and the entire suicide/murder/whatever happened during his first presidency. Not to mention all the #MeToo allegations hes had with literal children including at least one Epstein kid.
Nobody but nobody REALLY expected him to release any Epstein files.
