The switch works with a plunger
When the pedal is released the plunger is pressed down
The sensor appears to be taped, so that might let you keep cruise on with the pedal depressed
No clue why you would want to. That switch is also kind of the forward stop for the clutch. Maybe the clutch or master cylinder was going and he was hoping for some extra grip on the clutch? Not sure if a hydraulic clutch works that way
