The traffic stop was completely valid, nig nog refused to comply with lawful orders, resisted arrest by not complying, and got exactly what you would expect.

A couple of states have realized this and tried to pass laws about hitting protestors with your car, I know NY tried to pass a law not sure if it was successful. In Florida they passed a law specifically stating you can use your car as a weapon and you cannot be charged with a crime for it, so that there is no ambiguity within the law.

In most states in the United States though you have to slow down for pedestrians (even if they are doing something illegal), but the moment somebody attacks your car, you may defend yourself, including using your car as a weapon.
