All the best campsites ive found have been on BLM or Natl forest land and been free or at MOST they have an honor system box and its like 3$ a night

But usually you can camp anywhere up to 2 weeks then just have to move .25 miles or something

I literally spent a summer leapfrogging from campsite to campsite around different free use federal land without ever paying a dollar last year
