So therefore when he ruins his daughter's life to run off with his demon boyfriend he's portrayed as the victim because he had no choice and wanted to save him (he still coerces said boyfriend into sex and talks about fucking him in vivid detail when his daughter is right there, but he's still portrayed as the victim).

Denji does shitty things all the time, but he's portrayed as the victim for it so we can go "awww poor Denji! How dare the Fire Devil point out that he let an innocent person die!"
