universal conscription means that Iranians will be able to replenish manpower losses much better than the Americans. the Soviets were able to conjure entire armies over night in WWII because they had universal conscription for about 20 years while the Germans had only had it implemented for a few years with a much smaller population. they aren't going to be top notch fighters but trained conscripts will at least be familiar with weapons and organization so you can just ship them straight to the front lines rather than sending them to boot camp first, which the Americans would have to do if they start drafting citizens to die for Israel
