>Baking bread is impossible without breaking out the kibble balance
The mind of a metrictard folks
Cooking is maybe the best example of why imperial is better. Say I want to halve a recipe. In metricland, I don't have half units, so I have to use five of the next-smallest division of 10. So if the original recipe called for a kilo of flour, now I have to make five hectogram scoops (that scoop exists, right? Hopefully that scoop exists, otherwise I'm stuck making 50 dekagram scoops. Or 500 gram scoops). In imperial if I want half a pint I just use a cup.
