Chaos majoris just isn't fun to fight
Boneswords and especially whips are great to fight in melee even if they're a bit basic, give me those any day over rubrics
As for extremis, while zoanthrops can be BS occasionally and biovores are dull as a brick to fight, and melee termies are incredibly fun, raveners and lictors more than make up for it while you get to avoid fighting ranged terminators. That's a tradeoff I'd take any day.
You know what I find funniest though? That people are expressing their favourite faction to fight in terms of what enemies they get to avoid from the other almost entirely. Nothing says "well designed enemy roster" like players having good reasons to avoid entire factions just because certain enemies kill their enjoyment of the game on their own.
