One she is Akira's best friend; or more Akira is her best friend. And the glances, especially the close up glance, suggests she has something to do this episode. Like she is going to know something about Miku, or will have an idea of Akira's current struggle and empathize with her; especially since they discuss how lonely Akira is this episode while Yukari is constantly discussing how isolated and lonely she feels. There is a lot of reasons. I'm hoping that it will at least be brought up next episode before deciding it was a mistake.
