I recently got in this series but I'm having issues

>watched first season
>both too fast paced for rushing all layers and too slow since nothing really happens
>bored until they meet nanachi and how that whole arc played out
>finally gets good
>watch the 4 episodes of season 1 and the sequel movie in one sitting
>the movie is genuinely amazing
>season 2 begins
>first 2 episodes, absolutely nothing happens until end of ep 2
>even then, it's not particularly interesting

Look, I'm not shitting on the series, but I was sold one of the greatest series ever made and while it reached its potential in the middle, it's back on just being meh, at least for me personally. Should I keep going? Does it get better? I kind of don't care about Riko finding her mom since I don't know shit about her.

I expected to see cool artifacts and interest fauna/flora like the shit you see on HxH Dark Continent, but we barely see anything, Riko never does anything and is hard carried by Reg, it feels like they got down there by luck, except in the movie where they planned shit and used their brain

anyway, im just rambling now
