SF2: broken jank, some characters almost literally unstoppable once they get a knockdown
SF3: mostly opposite, powerful defense meant oki wasn't even much of an advantage in the first place (unless you were Urien)
SF4/5: capcom tries to make competitively serious games....steamroll tactics balanced out with comeback mechanics....everyone bitches about the comeback mechanics
SF6: steamroll tactics dominate again but they're so braindead and accessible and random that even bronzies don't complain about it because even when they're outmatched they'll still get their turn to throwloop sooner or later
