Appreciated. No, I don't play, although maybe I will eventually. I'm super slow at painting, I can't imagine having to paint things fast to get some army ready

Well, I think the photo setup helps the most in that sense kek. (photo setup = 2 pieces of black cardboard + desk lamp + galaxy s8 camera)

That aside I do try to make things dark and gritty but really push on colours vibrancy at the same time, I don't like the more typical grimdark™ approach of just relying mainly on washes/enamels etc to make the minis desaturated, somber and dirty. In this case I simply tried to make some edges and more exposed parts of the armour super shiny and intense to provide a nice contrast to the darker areas.
