To me The Force Awakens was far worse than The Last Jedi, so much so that it turned me off Disney Star Wars entirely. They had no story to tell, no ideas to explore, just a shameless member berry filled rehashing of A New Hope with unlikable characters and a couple of J.J.'s shitty mystery boxes like Snoke thrown in because retards always eat it up. Not to mention how it shits all over the original trilogy's story by simply undoing everything the original heroes worked for and accomplished. At least Lucas's ideas for sequels were new and interesting, something about exploring the microbiotic world. Maybe it would have sucked but at least it would be interesting.
