I don't understand why you people are getting so autistic with the lore of a franchise which explicitly doesn't care about its own lore and just considers every game as pretty much its own setting with characters being glorified archetypes. Have a little fun in your life, Pauline is a kid because it just works for her to be a kid here. You shoulpdn't consider Mario games to have any more continuity than halloween Simpson specials do
