This is the most retarded thing I've read today, and that includes Anno adding the original RX-78 to his show. Anyhow, pretty much every western cartoon nowadays is influenced by anime. The creators of those shows worship Tomino, Miyazaki, Ikuhara, Anno and, yes, the Tsurumaki/Enokido duo (FLCL was big in the 2000s).
