What a godawful post with zero (0) arguments beyond "I liked it, so fuck you."

Look at this shit. Skyrimized itemization is a blight on Western RPG devs. "Here are some interactable buckets." "Here are some interactable barrels (they can blow up by the way and do small amounts of damage, wow!). "Here are 50 seashells on this beach, you can pick up every one you know!!!!" Utter trash from a gameplay standpoint, pure pointless busywork meant for mouthbreathers. Did Larian even playtest this game, or were they so enamored by perks like "doubles the effect of food and potions" that this was their idea of a good time? 80 HOURS OF THIS FUCKING SHIT piddling around menus and performing the equivalent of fetch quests for weapons that do 2 extra damage or skillbooks you already bought 20 hours ago. What a shitshow.

Ridiculous. Larian slapped on a few difficulty levels by upping HP and damage, made enemies select different targets per attack, and called it a day.
>Enemies get a +50% boost to health, armor, damage.
>Enemies now regularly start out with 6 or more AP.
>Turns are no longer are affected by Initiative scores, but are now hard-coded in a ally-enemy-ally-enemy fashion
That's your idea of free-form, challenging, open-ended combat? Every battle is literally the same. 80 hours of battering ram and battle stomping for knockdowns as a fighter type. 80 hours of using whatever key skill you picked as a spellcaster for paralysis or your status of choice. The same goes for every other class like some perverse Skinner box. Fuck, I want to puke just thinking about it.
The rest of this post is a structure on a sandy foundation. If the core gameplay sucks ass, there's no further argument needed. I agree that the writing and attention to detail is very present, like a game made by and for autistic people. But this is definitely missing the forest (fun) for the trees (attention to detail).
