Shit take.
DW5 is the easiest in the series, absolute casual snorefest and the game that gave the series it's bad rep for being braindead and repetitive. The Rage Coins trivialize even Chaos Mode, and the enemy AI got fucking lobotomized on all difficulties into being nothing but damage sponges.
The stages all play exactly the same since they gave them all the same copy/paste base system which fucks any uniqueness they could have had.
The musou modes are too fucking long and repeat the same stages over and over for 3/4 of the cast.
Changing from having an army of bodyguards in 3/4 to just having one asshole tag along was objectively a downgrade in both utility and fun.
