When you expose them for their bloviating and sophistry, they reveal the deepest and most cruel of lies: The lie that Maelle isn't bringing anyone back.
There are many angles which they use to try to focus on this:
>Look, the developers didn't model a reconstructed opera house. That means Maelle is evil and not reconstructing it.
>Don't you think the ending looks a bit TOO happy? And Gustave doesn't even say anything? He's probably a clone!
>Maelle brought those expeditioners back like a necromancer. They looked creepy, didn't they? See?! Maelle isn't really bringing anyone back.
>Well, the people already got gommaged. How is Maelle bringing them back? She isn't. She's just creating new people that share their memories.
This last one is particularly nasty. However, fortunately, the events of the game disprove this cruel headcanon. For you see, Sciel and Lune get gommaged away. But then they still get brought back. And they share full memories and continuity with their previous selves that Maelle could not possibly reproduce.

Now, with all their lies defeated, the Versofag skulks back into the shadows. Remember to always tell Versofags to play the piano.
