That's not really the same as the typical two-tone paint scheme seen a lot in the 70's/80's/90's. That's more of an ecomomy/manufacturing cost thing to save on painting costs in the factory, since you can used on cars with different paint colors. Sort of like how you'd see base model econoboxes with black plastic trim & bumpers which could be used on all the cars regardless of what paint color they were.
