I really hope it's just a coincidence and there won't be any more shit like this further into the game
If Larian design is a crappy puzzle with a certain solution and stupid irrationalities for the sake of “better” encounter design then Owlcat design is the exact opposite, enemies are arranged and balanced to defeat the player, not for fun
