The PSI powers are really good. The squad power is great at low levels, and the clone works decently at higher levels for keeping enemies off your back. Heavy armor also helps a lot for increasing survivability at the cost of going slow. But speed doesn't matter, since you can just buy the Dragon power and telefrag across the map. Endgame is just doing the wounds research so you can spam triangular gate on enemies.
