Given how much shit she gets on /a/, I’m surprised by how much I ended up liking her. However, from what I understand, she gets worse in later seasons (which begs the question: why bring her back when her arc was already resolved?). I found her incredibly annoying during the breakup arc, but once she learned about Sailor Moon’s true identity, she started to become more tolerable. I liked her Black Lady transformation and how it ties together her abandonment issues and feelings of guilt and loneliness, as well as how it was resolved. The final goodbye with Usagi, with her calling her “mum,” and the reunion with her mother in the future were really sweet, and unlike other elements in the season (like Petz and Sapphire’s relationship), it feels earned.
>villains
I love the Ayakashi Sisters and find Esmeraude entertaining, but I didn’t care at all about Demande and I like Wiseman more as a concept than as a character. I didn’t expect him to go out with what’s basically the Sailor Moon equivalent of the father-son Kamehameha.
