It's a rally game, they're course time trials. The club works by we all do the same course with the same class of car and the times are compared (just like real rally). It's man vs road.
Buy EA WRC. DLC I have no idea EA makes it as hard as possible to understand their DLC system so you get confused and spend more money.
Honestly wait for a sale, and just get dirt rally 2 instead; EA either is about to or just nuked codemasters so they did the whole swallow cool game team, pump out corporate garbage DLC nonsense that doesn't sell well, then nuke the devs because the MBAs killed the franchise
