Back when e-sports were still new and competitive games were just developing, this piece by day9 had to be the one that stuck with me the most, and should be grounds for how you are supposed to look at improving and ranking up (you can also skip the beginning, and instead listen to what a ranking system is supposed to be 9:19-11:50). Si17 is a genius at this game, and they immediately found all the answers to every in-game problem. They just needed time to play out and reach their destined rank/elo.
