Can't believe I've never considered this.
I've put fridges next to the stove, separate from the main freezer so whoever is cooking doesn't have to keep going back and forth from the big freezer to get ingredients. Some unoccupied people who can haul keep them stocked instead.
Hopefully that will make it take longer before I need a second cook to keep the colony fed.
