Mudcore is anything that is filthy, dirty, and muddy, both physically and usually morally. Think like Turnip28. Some people really hate it because they either hate indie products, or hate the ahistorical nature of it (Hollywood making the Medieval period always look filthy). It often goes hand-in-hand with grimdark and grimderp and often to the point of parody.
