I think lamar's 2023 mvp is completely valid in a vacuum because there genuinely wasn't another mvp candidate that year
he doesn't win it any other season, but no one else does that year either
if mvp voters were honest and voted in good faith they would view every year independently
sometimes the stars align and the only guy you can pick is the guy on the best team
he did get 49 of 50 first place votes afterall (and the 50th was probably done to avoid letting him be a two-time unanimous mvp)
