Probably not enough. To even loosely fill a volume of space that big, we are talking something above trillions. I'm not enough of a mathematician to be able to put a number to it, but its safe to say that its in the range of 'unfathomably large'.
To even make a dent in a space monster swam of that size, you'd have to be armed with enough virus bombs to perform a 'conventional' exterminatus of basically every living planet in the IoM. And I don't think event he IoM would keep all of that ordinance in one place.
And this isn't even all of the space monsters. This is just the space monsters that show up to *one fight*. Its important to remember that Gunbuster 1 ends with mankind using a black hole bomb to swallow up and destroy the middle 60% of the milky way galaxy to wipe out the densely clustered stars that the space monsters use as their favored breeding grounds. A level of firepower that is orders of magnitude above anything thats possible within 40k. It didn't solve a damn thing.
