The 50% tipping point for IPv6 is just weeks away on Google, with reports coming out that ipv4 addresses are being bought by scammers to route malicious scraper traffic through CGNAT so it's hard to ban them without blocking legitimate traffic is kind of turning admins against IPv4. In fact i expect IPv4 will be massively phased out soon just like they killed TLS 1.0. In fact all it will take is Cloudflare requiring IPv6.

It's almost impossible to edit Wikipedia unless you have an isp without CGNAT because of LTAs and it's happening to a lot of ISPs with IoT devices. There's just too much traffic on the internet for IPv4 too work, and even if you take the racist suggestion of only letting certain countries have the internet you still have all the IoT stuff to deal with. The number of internet connected devices is growing exponentially, only a baby duck wants to keep using ipv4 in 2010, let alone 2025.
